Since its inception in 1991, The Century Council has been steadfast in its mission to fight drunk driving and underage drinking. While much progress has been made by attacking these problems head on, it is also important to examine these issues in a larger cultural context. The Century Council is proud to be celebrating its 20th Anniversary and recognizes that the past 20 years could not have been a success without the support of remarkable individuals who encourage health, wellness, and a commitment to eliminating drunk driving and underage drinking.
As part of our 20th anniversary, we’re going to be recognizing 20 people to watch, those individuals that we think are making a difference in fighting against underage drinking, drunk driving, and encouraging the choice to live a healthy lifestyle - and will continue to do so.
We’re starting it off with Stephen Talpins. The current Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of the National Partnership on Alcohol Misuse and Crime (NPAMC) and attorney with Rumberger, Kirk & Caldwell, Stephen Talpins is one of the Council’s distinguished 20 People to Watch, an enthusiastic proponent of DWI courts and a noted legal mind on drunk driving issues.
We’re proud to recognize him – and we look forward to seeing more of his work!
