The Century Council presents - Holiday Hop!
At The Century Council, we always try to let people know the danger created by drunk drivers over the holidays. Last year, 1231 people were killed in alcohol-impaired driving fatalities between Thanksgiving and New Year’s Day, and 171 of the drivers involved were under-21. We’re particularly concerned that 70% of these fatalities involved a driver with a BAC (Blood Alcohol Concentration) of .15 or higher.
But this time, we tried something a little different to get the message across. Working with Actual Size Creative, we created a short web-based game to illustrate the dangers presented by drunk drivers. The game consists of one simple but surprisingly difficult challenge: Can you get the gingerbread family across the street to the holiday party?

We hope you enjoy it, and that you have a safe and merry holiday season!
A Reminder to Not Drive Drunk This Fourth of July - An eCard by The Century Council
The Century Council created an innovative eCard for the July 4th holiday that reminds viewers to stay safe this Independence Day and not drive drunk. You can view the eCard now. We have previously produced eCards for prom and graduation, the winter holidays, and National Teen Driver Safety Week.
The Fourth of July eCard takes you through some activities that may happen on a typical July 4th day – a burger is flipped on the grill, a flag is waved, a horseshoe is tossed. But it ends with the story of how someone has too much to drink, gets in their car, and puts lives in danger.
We hope this eCard serves as a reminder to stay safe this Fourth of July (and always) and never drive drunk. As always, you can send the eCard to a friend, and post it to your Facebook and Twitter accounts. Have a happy and safe Fourth of July!

2008 Holiday eCard - The Making of Centuryville!
Here at The Century Council we aim to use creativity to engage others in our important lifesaving messages about drunk driving and underage drinking. The latest example of this is our 2008 Holiday eCard. We want to say a special thank you to Actual Size Creative who put a lot of creative thought, time, and effort into making this card. Here are some still shots of the set and a short behind the scenes video. Check 'em out!
National Teen Driver Safety Week
The Century Council is a longtime advocate for increasing safety on our country's roadways, and we support the goals and ideals of National Teen Driver Safety Week (October 19-25, 2008). This year we partnered with the National Transportation Safety Board, the Ad Council, Nationwide Insurance, and the American School Counselor Association to distribute an interactive web-based game that highlights how distractions make it increasingly difficult for a teen driver to safely operate their vehicle. The game features images and messages that teens can relate to which we hope will remind them to drive safely. Please join our effort by sending the game to a teen and encourage them to send it to a friend.
"That Super-Bad Style"
A look at prom styles through the years reveals "super bad" dress, hair, and transportation choices; but for a person under the age of 21, the choice to drink alcohol on prom night is not only illegal, but also has the potential to be "deadly bad." We produced this multimedia e-card to highlight some of these choices and to provide a prom tips list for parents. Watch it now:
