Implement the B4UDrink Educator in your community

Research shows that the B4UDrink Educator successfully increases users' knowledge of BAC limits. So how can you implement B4UDrink to increase your community's knowledge?

While a number of states and communities have recently used the B4UDrink Educator at state fairs in kiosks within their highway safety exhibits, the most frequent users of the program are Campus/University Police conducting demonstrations at health day events. The University of Maryland uses the program in their Campus Blood Alcohol Educator Zone. Students and staff alike visit the "Virtual Bar" to learn more about their BAC level. If, after choosing drinks the participant's BAC exceeds the legal limit, a police officer instructs the participant to put on fatal vision goggles and go through two portions of the standardized field sobriety test.

Who could set up a B4UDrink Educator booth?

  • College or university faculty and staff
  • College or university campus police
  • Public health care workers
  • State officials
  • Community leaders
