The Century Council has been fighting against drunk driving and underage drinking for nearly two decades. During this period of time alcohol-impaired driving fatalities have declined 26% and among our nation's under 21 population such fatalities have declined 48% since the Council's formation. Last year 43 states and D.C. had decreases in the number of alcohol-impaired driving fatalities. While consumption rates have declined nationally, alcohol consumption among youth under the legal drinking age remain relatively unchanged.
