Además, incluye una promesa para ser firmada por el adulto y el joven donde ambos se comprometen a mantener una comunicación abierta y honesta sobre los peligros del consumo de alcohol por menores de edad.

Girl Talk

This pamphlet is designed to serve as a resource for Moms to address the problem that underage drinking poses in their own families. Included are useful insights and information to discourage their underage daughters from drinking alcohol. It also highlights recent research findings on Girls, Moms, and underage drinking.

65%

Recent research commissioned by The Century Council reveals that 65% of underage youth who drink obtain alcohol from family and friends. Equally important, only 7% of youth report that they obtained alcohol from retailers who failed to check for identification.

Based on this data, The Century Council has created a new campaign that highlights the point of access to alcohol by underage youth and encourages parents to play a more active role in keeping alcohol out of the hands of our nation's youth.

The Century Council is providing tips to parents in an effort to prevent underage drinking and to highlight the strong influence that parents wield in their teens decisions to say no to alcohol.
