Michael Fields
Judge Mike Fields received a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal History from South West Texas University in 1987 and went on to receive his Doctorate of Juris Prudence from St. Mary's University School of Law in 1991. After Law School, he joined the Harris County District Attorney's office where he served from 1991 to 1994 before joining the Texas Attorney General's Office in the Prosecutor Assistance Division. Mike then ran for Judge of County Criminal Court 14 in Harris County, won the primary, and took the bench in 1999. He has since remained the Judge of Harris County Criminal Court #14. Judge Fields currently serves on the Board of Directors for Hope for Families, as well as the Houston Community Center for the Performing and Visual Arts. He has also served as the Chairman of the Harris County Bail Bond, on the Board of Trustees of the Lone Star Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, as well as on the Advisory Counsel of the Salvation Army Boys and Girls Clubs.
Patrick B. Harr, M.D.
Dr. Harr earned a bachelor's degree at Northwest Missouri State University and a medical degree at the University of Missouri-Columbia. For over 25 years, Dr. Harr has served concurrently as the team doctor for Maryville High School and Northwest Missouri State University in addition to servicing multiple other schools in the northwestern Missouri and southern Iowa regions. He is the past President and former Chairman of the Board of Directors for the American Academy of Family Physicians and is still active within the organization. Dr. Harr has been the recipient of many awards including Distinguished Service awards from the Missouri State High School Activities Association and the University of Missouri, the Sports Medicine Hall of Fame award from the Missouri Athletic Trainers Association, and a Distinguished Alumni award from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
Honorable Heidi Heitkamp
Ms. Heitkamp earned a bachelor's degree at the University of North Dakota and a law degree from the Lewis and Clark School of Law. Ms. Heitkamp began her career working for the Environmental Protection Agency, then moved to the office of the Tax Commissioner. Starting as the Assistant Attorney General for the Tax Commissioner, she eventually became the Tax Commissioner for North Dakota. She served as the North Dakota Attorney General for 8 years. More recently, Ms. Heitkamp is engaged in private legal and consulting work. She serves on the Board of Directors for the Dakota Gasification Company and The Forum on Democracy and Trade, a non-profit organization that supports public officials engaged in global trade debates. She also serves on the advisory committee and as a consultant for ALIS, a company that provides consulting services to governmental entities on homeland security.
Shauna Helfert
Ms. Helfert earned a bachelor's degree in business administration from Montana State University in 1993. She is a certified public accountant and has previously worked as an auditor for the Corporation Tax Division with the Department of Revenue and as a human resource officer for the Federal Department of Agriculture. In 1998, Ms. Helfert became the liquor distribution manager of the Montana Department of Revenue’s Liquor Control Division where she is currently administrator.
Lisa Graham Keegan
Lisa Graham Keegan graduated from Stanford University with a degree in human language. She earned a master's degree in communication disorders from Arizona State University. Ms. Keegan was a founding member of the Education Leaders Council and was named Chief Executive Officer. She has long worked for education reform, gaining national attention for her focus on student centered funding and academic improvement. Having worked as a superintendent and at the state government level, Lisa Graham Keegan is often called to speak to Congress, State Legislative bodies, and education organizations. She is currently involved with boards and committees including the President's Commission on Title IX, Empower America, and Foundation for Teaching Economics. She regularly contributes to publications for organizations such as the Thomas B. Fordham Foundation, the Pioneer Institute, and Chronicles Magazine. Her work has been featured in Forbes, Weekly Standard, Newsweek, Wall Street Journal, and Los Angeles Times.
Robert L. King, J.D.
Robert King earned a bachelor's degree from Trinity College and a law degree from the Vanderbilt University of Law. He began his career as a prosecutor for offices of District Attorneys. Since then, he has been in private practice, served as a New York State Assemblyman, and most recently has been serving as Chancellor for the State University of New York. He has served as a volunteer with the United Way, the American Lung Association, Camp Good Days, and Special Times. Mr. King received a Presidential appointment to be a member of the White House commission on Presidential Scholars. He was appointed by Secretary of State Colin Powell to the Education Committee of the U.S. National Commission for the United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) as a representative of state and local government interests.
Colonel Lonnie J. Westphal
Colonel Lonnie Westphal earned a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from Colorado State University and a master's degree in public administration from University of Denver. He is also a graduate of the National Executive Institute of the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the John F. Kennedy School of Government for Senior Executives at Harvard University. Col. Westphal was the first Vice President of the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP), and the Chief of the Colorado State Patrol, which he joined in 1974. He retired from the Colorado State Patrol in 2003. He is a former board member of the State Patrol Protective Association, Colorado Council of Law Enforcement Associations, and the National Commission Against Drunk Driving. Col. Westphal was also a former International Chair of the Police Traffic Services Committee of the American Association of Motor Vehicle Administrators. He is currently an active member of the International Association of Chiefs of Police and is serving as the Executive Director of the Association of Colorado State Patrol Professionals and the Colorado State Patrol Family Foundation.
Anthony E. Wolf, Ph. D.
Dr. Wolf received a Ph.D. in clinical psychology from the City University of New York and received a bachelor's degree from Columbia College. He has been a practicing psychologist for over 25 years, seeing children and adolescents in the Springfield, Massachusetts area. Dr. Wolf is the author of many books on parenting children and adolescents, including the best selling book, Get out of my life but first could you drive me and Cheryl to the Mall? A Guide to the New Teenager. Dr. Wolf is a frequent contributor to parenting magazines including Parents, Family Circle, and has written for CHILD Magazine. He has won numerous awards, and his works have been featured in TIME and O Magazine.
