ARLINGTON, VA – The Century Council, a national not-for-profit funded by distillers and dedicated to eliminating drunk driving and underage drinking, announced today that Carley Graham Garcia, a member of Google’s Global Industry Relations team, has joined its National Advisory Board. The National Advisory Board plays a vital role in assisting in the development and execution of The Century Council’s mission by providing critical insights and valuable expertise to the Chairman, Susan Molinari, the staff and member companies.
As a member of Google's Global Industry Relations team, Mrs. Garcia manages day-to-day relationships with advertising industry groups, in order to maximize Google's participation and better align the company's business and policy objectives. In addition, she serves on Google New York’s Community Affairs team, which seeks to use technology to improve the community through partnerships with non-profit and educational institutions. In 2010, Mrs. Garcia received the Advertising Research Foundation's Great Mind Award for Member Ambassadorship for her work. She also received an award from Google's operating committee for her work contributing to the acquisition of AdMob, a mobile display company.
Prior to joining Google, Mrs. Garcia was a Director of Advertising Sales at National Journal Group in Washington, DC, and was focused on issue advocacy advertising. She has also held positions in the Integrated Advertising Sales Group at The Atlantic magazine and within the marketing department of The Advisory Board Company. Mrs. Garcia holds a BA from Georgetown University and an MBA from the Stern School of Business at New York University. She currently serves as Adjunct Instructor within the Digital Marketing program at NYU's School for Continuing and Professional Studies.

There are many creative ways to increase the reach of The Century Council, and I am looking forward to providing insight into how The Century Council can increase the size of its audience,” said Garcia.
