WASHINGTON, DC--Today, The Century Council, a national not-for-profit organization funded by distillers dedicated to fighting drunk driving and underage drinking, recognized Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine with its 2013 Leadership Award. During his tenure he has shown an outstanding commitment to fighting drunk driving and underage drinking in Ohio.
Attorney General Mike DeWine has been one of the nation’s strongest leaders in the fight to stop underage drinking and drunk driving. The Century Council has worked with him for many years and are pleased to continue working with him to educate Ohio parents and children about the dangers of underage drinking and drunk driving. Using traditional and social media, Attorney General DeWine shared a message in April during Alcohol Awareness Month that encouraged parents to have the important conversation with their children about illegal underage drinking.
“Attorney General DeWine continues to provide excellent leadership on underage drinking and drunk driving issues,” said Ralph Blackman, President and CEO of The Century Council. “The dedication and leadership that Attorney General DeWine provides in Ohio on these significant issues sends a message to parents and youth about the importance of having a serious conversation. We look forward to working with Attorney General DeWine and continuing to save lives.”
