TCC Comment on the 2006 Monitoring the Future Survey
Washington, DC — The 2006 Monitoring the Future Survey, released today, noted there was a significant decrease in lifetime and past year alcohol consumption among 12th graders from 2005.
A special analysis for ONDCP revealed a significant 13% decrease in past month alcohol consumption among 8th, 10th and 12th grades combined from 35.7% in 2001 to 31.1% in 2006. |

Recognizing the importance of this issue and that more needs to be done, The Century Council, a national not-for-profit organization funded by America's leading distillers, works continuously with private and public organizations across the country to provide resources to fight underage drinking.
