Get Involved: Brandon Tells His Story
Spread his lifesaving message in your community.
The Century Council partners with elected officials and high school officials to bring a life-saving lesson about the dangers of drunk driving and underage drinking to the students in large school assemblies. Often in advance of Prom and Graduation season and in conjunction with Alcohol Awareness Day, Brandon Silveria and his father Tony speak to students about the importance of “making the right choice” about alcohol – and if students are under the age of 21, the only responsible decision is not to drink.
A number of schools have developed strategies to enhance the impact of Brandon’s message on their students. They have found that if they conduct a pre-presentation discussion the afternoon before Brandon presents or conduct follow-up question and answer discussions immediately following Brandon the message is more likely to have a profound influence on the students to make responsible decisions.

"I would recommend the presentation to any organization with members who are old enough to drive. If you get the opportunity ... don't pass it up!"

"In our society today, in the movies and the musicians around us, show us that drinking is the cool thing to do. They never showed us how hideous the outcomes can be. A hero recovers from mistakes and helps guide others in the right direction. [Brandon] is a hero."
